As a child Hippie Bob was mesmorized by "Penny Candy" at the local candy store and all that his 25 cent allowance could buy. His dream of owning a candy store came true with the opening of Riverside Chocolate Factory on March 14, 1986.

Having spent half of his conventional working career with McDonalds he knew full well what Ronald McDonald meant to the children.
